Today I read an article about Senator McCain's views on the economy and what he wanted to do to help it. Let's just say, I had a very different opinion as he did. He proposed that senior citizens must withdraw insane amounts of money from their accounts at age 70. Obama wanted to have families withdraw fifteen percent of their retirement funds without any penalties. McCain did not like this so he "shot down" Obama and said that it was not suitable for the stock market because it was in need already. McCain also said he would cut capital gain taxes on stock profits in half decreasing from 15 percent down to 7.5 percent. I think this is all just words. This would not benefit his presidency even though it would have more money incoming. Reducing the capital gains rate supposedly would "encourage" investors to stay in the stock market during the hard times it is going through right now. McCain's campaigns are showing extreme confusion by how he's trying to get out his message. His plans seem to only benefit the wealthy class and does not seem to help the lower and middle class one bit. The wealthy class doesn't need more money, who cares? McCain needs to get his thoughts together.
