Looking out the window
Dew drops on the trees
Closer to the state of which
I truly want to be.
The four corners of my room
Don’t seem like walls at all
They only seem like bars placed
In the jail cell hall.
I look right and I see
My reflection staring back
I can’t believe all
The qualities I seem to lack.
Now what is going on?
This doesn’t seem quite right
How can this be that this is
All I’m doing on this starry night.
I pick up and dust myself off
I quickly get changed too
I grab the keys and I’m off
To do the things I do.
You can’t hold me back
I’m just who I am
And if you don’t like it,
I truthfully don’t give a damn.
Tonight, the world is mine
I’m not going because of you
I’m going for the simple reason
Of the new life I need to pursue.
I’ll board the plane in two minutes
It’s the journey I’ve waited for
Ciao, goodbye. See you never,
I don’t need you anymore.
^ yeah, I know it's kind of lame but leave your feedback anyway
