Believe it or not, music plays an essential part in our everyday life. It weaves "its beauty and emotion through our thoughts, activities and memories." This passage was quoted from Article of Note.com. It makes you think, what if music didn't exist? People take for granted the advantages that our generation has for music. Music is everywhere. Whether it be on the radio, listening to cds or on the internet. The technology for music is highly advanced with gadgets like iPods or Jukebox phones.
Music is very important to living. It is something we can all enjoy no matter what genre, be it classical, pop, metal or rock. Its soothing and inspirational. In today's society, it is unheard of for a human being to not enjoy music. We all should thank the rock legends like the Beatles, the Rolling Stones, Aerosmith, AC/DC, and The Who for starting the best genre of music, in my opinion. Music is highly important in today's world because its lyrics and melody is something we can all relate to.
My favorite genre of music is rock/alternative. I'll listen to the oldies as well as the new hardcore bands. As a bold statement, I can not stand rap music. I think its just noise. From the rap that i've listened to, I have made a conclusion. Rap music takes no musical talent. Of course, lyrics take talent but the way that producers actually make the music does not interest me.
There are loads of bands that have talent. Being able to play an instrument is harder than it looks. I've tried it out of personal experience (I play guitar and sing). No one without experience in music has any idea how hard it is to, for example, play guitar and sing at the same time. It takes years of experience to master. Yet, people take rock music for granted.
Music has impacted my life greatly. I'll just sit down and listen to my iPod and watch the memories flood back. A song can trigger lost memories also. Music is inspirational, creative and something that I do not think that I could live without.
