Wake Up America!

Dear World,

I think that global warming is one of the most important issues of our time. It needs a lot of care to make better. Our society is crumbling right in front of our faces and soon enough, there will be no America. We have damaged this country enough. Global warming is contributed by the carbon monoxide in gas. Littering the ground also causes global warming because it can go into our water system. We need to think of ways to restore the planet quick. For example: there has been cars made out of fast food oil which saves oil for our country. If people were more conscience of what they were doing to our planet, maybe things would start changing for the better. Also, a rising issue is gay marriage. Same-sex marriage is only legal in three states in the United States: Massachusetts, Connecticut and California. I do not see why same-sex marriage is a problem. Many states ban it but really, what is it harming? If two people love each other, it shouldn’t matter if they were the same sex or not. The government is basically telling you whom to marry. Besides talking about war and taxes, I would like to bring to attention the abortion issue. Should it be banned? No, I do not think abortion should be banned to an extent. Taking away a human life is absolutely terrible but it is necessary in some cases. If some girl got raped and found out she was pregnant, then yes, she should get an abortion. It was not her fault she got pregnant and probably can’t take care of a baby at that point. But if a girl keeps on getting pregnant without using protection, then that person should not be allowed to have an abortion. It was her fault and she should suffer the consequences for not being smart and safe. Wake up America! Times have changed and if we don’t step up and make a difference in this world, the outcome will be disastrous.
